Job description

Steven Singer Jewelers is seeking an experienced Bench Jeweler to join our team at our Newtown, PA location. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled craftsperson who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a collaborative, fast-paced retail environment. We are currently hiring for both full-time and part-time positions. This role is hourly and includes weekends as part of a regular, rotating schedule.

About the Role
As a Bench Jeweler at Steven Singer Jewelers, you will play an important role in supporting both our sales floor and repair operations. You'll be responsible for high-quality jewelry repairs, maintenance, and finishing, ensuring every piece meets our standards before returning to a customer. This position is ideal for someone who is confident working at the bench, can manage their time effectively, and values precision, consistency, and craftsmanship.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform ring sizing, stone setting, polishing, and refinishing

  • Complete rhodium dipping and final finishing work

  • Diagnose repair needs and execute appropriate solutions

  • Maintain consistency and quality across all bench work

  • Work with a variety of metals, including gold and platinum

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bench workspace

  • Communicate clearly with team members regarding repairs and timelines

  • Follow company procedures and quality standards at all times

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5ย years of experience as a primary or lead bench jeweler

  • Proven experience with:

    • Ring sizing and structural repairs

    • Stone setting (prong, channel, and basic settings)

    • Polishing, finishing, and rhodium dipping

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

  • Comfortable handling multiple jobs while meeting deadlines

Additional Skills (A Plus, Not Required)

  • Casting experience

  • Wax carving or wax making

  • Experience with advanced or custom repair work
