Role Summary
Godfrey & Wing is hiring an Electrician I to join our team in Aurora, Ohio. This entry- level role is suited for individuals with hands-on electrical experience who can work independently or on more complex wiring and panel builds. The Electrician I will contribute to building and testing custom equipment used in advanced manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
  • With limited support, assemble and wire electrical panels, control systems, and equipment according to engineering drawings and schematics
  • Install wiring, conduit, and related hardware efficiently and neatly
  • Perform functional testing and basic troubleshooting of electrical systems and circuits
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other assemblers to ensure project quality and on-time completion
  • Assist in identifying design or process improvements to enhance build efficiency and reliability
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in electrical assembly, wiring, or panel building (industrial equipment preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Familiarity with safe electrical work practices, including LOTO and NEC standards
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment
  • Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and quality focus
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in electrical systems is preferred
  • Ability to safely use forklift and scissors lift
