Position: Behavioral Support Specialist (Full time 1.00 FTE)

Job Description:
Parnassus Preparatory School is currently accepting applications for a full-time Behavioral Support Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond. Full-time (1.00 FTE)

The Behavioral Support Specialist is responsible for assisting students who exhibit behavioral challenges in the elementary or intermediate school setting. This role works closely with teachers, staff, and parents to create individualized strategies that promote positive behavior and academic success. The Behavioral Support Specialist will provide direct support to students, collaborate with educators to implement behavior interventions, and help cultivate a positive school environment, focusing on the mission and values of our school.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • An appropriate MN teaching license is required
  • Ability and willingness to teach the classical trivium and sequence model as defined by the school
  • The ability to speak and write clearly and effectively
  • Conviction in the values of a rigorous liberal arts education
  • Ability to maintain an orderly classroom

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience preferred but not required
  • An appropriate MN teaching license is preferred but not required
  • Tier 3 or 4 License preferred but not required

Compensation:
Pay range: $45,150 - $81,375
