B. QUALIFICATIONS:

Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA); certification must be maintained in good standing.

Education: Master's degree or doctorate in a related field.

Physical Requirement: Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.

G. ASSIGNED DUTIES

Service Delivery and Assessment

Deliver high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who have significant behavioral challenges.

Conduct functional assessments to identify the causes and maintaining factors of challenging behaviors.

Planning and Intervention

Develop behavior support plans (BSPs) in accordance with ABA best practices, using preventive and reactive strategies to increase positive behaviors.

Monitor behavior support data regularly in accordance with ABA best practices.

Adjust BSP strategies as needed based on in-person observations, data analysis, and informational interviews to ensure continued effectiveness.

Training and Collaboration

Provide competency-based training to direct support staff to support the effective implementation of BSP interventions.

Maintain positive, supportive, and collaborative relationships with direct support staff, support coordinators, managers, and other professionals to promote plan effectiveness.

Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other professionals as needed.

Documentation and Quality Assurance

Maintain confidential, timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.

Advocacy and Crisis Response

Advocate for individuals by assisting with the resolution of crisis situations and emergencies and by supporting the delivery of high-quality services.
