Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Behavioral Health RN to provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting. The RN will promote a safe and therapeutic environment while working closely with providers and interdisciplinary treatment teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive physical and behavioral health assessments.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor patients' responses to nursing interventions and modify care as needed.
  • Provide medication administration and nursing interventions according to the treatment plan.
  • Manage the therapeutic milieu and maintain a safe environment.
  • Utilize appropriate de-escalation and therapeutic intervention techniques.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to behavioral or psychiatric emergencies.
  • Establish clear and appropriate boundaries with patients.
  • Provide emotional support, education, and patient advocacy.
  • Communicate patient status and changes to providers and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Participate in discharge and continuing-care planning.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation.
  • Follow evidence-based practices, facility policies, and nursing standards.
Requirements
  • 1 year of RN experience required.
  • Recent Behavioral Health experience preferred.
  • Current RN license in the working state or Compact license.
  • BLS required; ACLS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.
  • BSN preferred.
  • EPIC experience preferred.
  • De-escalation training preferred.
