Shape the future of behavioral health care throughout the Forest Park community by joining our extraordinary team at Riveredge Hospital. Bring your compassion, expertise, enthusiasm, and passion for quality to a place that cultivates wellness and inspires hope.

We are currently seeking Mental Health Associates who have a passion to work with patients on our Intellectual Disabilty Unit providing activities of daily living (ADLs) for Riveredge Hospital. We have multiple openings for a variety of options regarding shift and schedule. The Mental Health Associate functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from children, adolescents and adults depending on which unit is worked. Provides group activities and assists with milieu management. Mental Health Associates work under the direction of a Registered Nurse


Qualifications

Experience:

  • Activities of daily living (ADLs) experience preferred.
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor Degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Successful completion of CPR and CPI that is provided during orientation. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
