About Sunshine Residential Homes: Sunshine Residential Homes is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Our foster group homes primarily care for sibling groups, offering a supportive, family-like atmosphere. Each home typically cares for 8 to 10 children, mostly school-aged (3-17 years old), providing structured routines and engaging activities year-round.


Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM- 5:00PM 


Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Program Manager to join our team in Glendale, AZ. In this role, you will oversee seven group homes, supervising House Managers and ensuring the well-being and safety of children in our care. Each home is led by a House Manager who reports directly to you, allowing you to provide focused leadership and support.

The ideal candidate is organized, an excellent communicator, capable of multitasking effectively, and flexibility afterhours. With regular office hours Monday-Friday 8AM- 5PM, you'll also need flexibility to respond to occasional staffing issues or emergencies. Program Managers will also need to cover a weekend shift every once in a while.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support House Managers for seven group homes, each housing approximately 10 children.
  • Regularly visit homes (announced and unannounced) to monitor quality of care, compliance, and children's well-being.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily operations, ensuring children's academic and behavioral health needs are met.
  • Serve as a key liaison between house staff, administrative team, schools, and community partners.
  • Respond promptly to urgent staffing or child-related emergencies.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members, promoting a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to House Managers.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule every fifth weekend.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in foster care, residential care, social services, or related fields.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Exceptional multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening abilities.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care is a plus.
  • Comfortable traveling within the West Valley region.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
