Job description

Lansing Catholic High School is seeking a mission-driven, detail-oriented Advancement Data Specialist to play a critical role in strengthening relationships and supporting the growth of our school community.
This position goes beyond traditional database management. You will help transform data into meaningful insights that guide fundraising, support enrollment growth, and deepen engagement with alumni, families, and donors.
Working closely with the Director of Development and school leadership, you will ensure that every interaction, from a first-time gift to a lifelong donor relationship, is supported by accurate, timely, and strategic information.
Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and manage the schoolโ€™s donor and constituent database (Bloomerang and related platforms)
  • Ensure accurate, timely entry of all gifts, records, and constituent updates
  • Regularly audit and clean data to ensure reliability and usability
  • Prepare and process weekly deposits of all donor contributions
  • Accurately record gifts with proper coding and fund designation
  • Coordinate with the Business Office for reconciliation
  • Generate and distribute timely donor acknowledgments and tax receipts
  • Produce reports, dashboards, and segmented lists to support fundraising and outreach efforts
  • Analyze giving trends and donor behavior to identify opportunities for growth
  • Assist in identifying prospective donors and strengthening donor engagement strategies
  • Provide data-driven insights to support fundraising campaigns, events, and donor outreach
  • Assist in preparing donor profiles, call lists, and campaign materials
  • Support key publications and communications, including the Totus Tuus magazine and annual report
  • Monitor and improve database processes, workflows, and reporting tools
  • Train staff and volunteers on database best practices
  • Serve as liaison with database vendors and support platforms
Education amp; Experience:
Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Communications, or related field preferred. Experience with database management, CRM systems, or nonprofit advancement operations preferred.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a commitment to the Catholic faith. In addition, the candidate must understand school culture and interact professionally with students and faculty. The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

Requirements:
  • Commitment to the Catholic mission of Lansing Catholic High School
  • Valid driverโ€™s license, background check, and Virtus training as required by the Diocese of Lansing
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Office Suite, and database systems
Additional Information:
  • Full-time position
  • Occasional evenings and weekends for Advancement events
