Little Champs ABA is a fast-growing ABA provider committed to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and exceptional outcomes for the children and families we serve. We are seeking a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team as our Initial Assessment Coordinator.

Position Overview

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Initial Assessment Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the entire intake and assessment process for new clients entering ABA services. This Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) position plays a critical role in ensuring families have a smooth, organized, and welcoming experience from referral through treatment authorization.

The ideal Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is highly organized, clinically knowledgeable, and experienced with autism assessments, insurance requirements, and CentralReach. This Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will collaborate closely with our clinical team to ensure every child receives a comprehensive assessment and individualized treatment plan.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule all initial ABA assessments from referral through intake.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) using standardized assessment tools.

  • Administer, score, and interpret assessments including:

    • VB-MAPP

    • ABLLS-R

    • AFLS

    • Vineland-3

    • PEAK

    • Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)

    • Functional Analyses (FA), when appropriate

  • Complete and maintain all assessment documentation within CentralReach.

  • Manage scheduling, documentation, and insurance authorization requirements in CentralReach.

  • Collaborate with other Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to develop individualized treatment recommendations and behavior intervention plans.

  • Prepare high-quality assessment reports and treatment recommendations for insurance submission.

  • Communicate professionally with families, physicians, referral sources, schools, and insurance companies throughout the assessment process.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for families before treatment begins.

  • Monitor assessment timelines to ensure timely service initiation.

  • Maintain accurate, organized, and HIPAA-compliant client records.

  • Assist with resolving scheduling issues or barriers that could delay the start of services.

Qualifications
  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the BACB.

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.

  • Experience conducting autism and ABA assessments as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools including VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, Vineland-3, PEAK, and Functional Behavior Assessments.

  • Experience developing comprehensive ABA treatment plans.

  • Proficiency with CentralReach, including scheduling, documentation, and authorization workflows.

  • Knowledge of commercial insurance and Medicaid authorization requirements.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple assessments simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience serving as a lead Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or assessment coordinator.

  • Experience working with multiple insurance payers and state Medicaid programs.

  • Knowledge of Utah ABA funding and authorization requirements.

  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Compensation

Salary: $90,000 – $105,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
