Job description

Behavior Technician work under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and apply behavioral intervention plans to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and other disabilities. Behavior Technicians work and collaborate with families with various skills to help support their child in reaching their fullest potential at home and the community. Magin Behavioral Therapies is looking for passionate staff that enjoy working with children and young adults in this population. Magin Behavioral Therapies offers on going support to its staff and provides growth opportunities.


Needed: Full-Time Behavior Technician. Afternoon/Evenings between 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM ($24-26)

Areas: Anaheim, Orange, Santa Ana, Irvine, Tustin, Westminster, Stanton, Buena Park, La Habra, Brea, Garden Grove, Fullerton, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, and more!


ABA Therapists will:

· Work 1:1 with clients following individualized ABA treatment plans for children & adolescents with autism in the home and community settings.

· Provide the client’s families with parent training to expand the client’s advancement opportunities.

· Receive ongoing support and supervision in the field by BCBA level staff.

· The most important qualification is a positive attitude and passion for helping others.


Job Qualifications

Required:

· Minimum HS Diploma

If you have any educational or work experience in the following areas we encourage you to apply!

· Any experience in working with children such as a school, daycare, early intervention, school aid, etc.

· Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation.

· Pass an FBI/ DOJ Clearance


Relevant Educational Experience:

Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavior Science, Child Development, Counseling, Education, Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Liberal Studies, Nursing, Psychology, Psychiatry, Speech and Hearing Services, Social Work, Rehabilitation, Sociology, or etc.

Preferred but we will work with the right candidates who are passionate in helping children and building their careers:

· BA in Psychology, Child Development, Communication Disorders, Education or related field.

· Experience with children with autism can be helpful.


Work Environment

The employee performs their job duties mostly in client homes or clinical settings. The noise level of the work environment is typically low to moderate. The employee is required to drive between their home and the client site as well as the office from time to time, mileage between clients is paid!
