Location: Mountain View, Cupertino, San Jose and Los Gatos

Schedule: Per Diem-Day Shift 

El Camino Health Medical Network is currently seeking talented Per Diem CT Technologist to join our growing healthcare team!

The Computed Tomography (C.T.) Technologist is a highly skilled professional who uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy, which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders.

Pay$51.61-$83.67 /hour

Location: Willow Glen 

Schedule: Per Diem

Essential Functions:

  • Operate head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan
  • Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations including procedure preparation and post procedure instructions
  • Provide patient care that is essential to the performance of a variety of procedures
  • Take patients medical history before an exam
  • Position patients so desired anatomy will be demonstrated
  • Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology
  • Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients
  • Works in collaboration with a board-certified radiologist.
  • Contributes to the overall patient experience and satisfaction
  • Participates in performance improvement activities
  • Adheres to HR, safety, HIPAA and compliance policies, and attendance requirements
  • Performs work in accordance with established schedules, policies, and procedures
  • Completes all required employee trainings
  • Models WeCare principles
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree from an AMA-approved school
  • Current Radiology Licensure with the American Registry Radiologic Technologists (R)(ARRT)
  • Current Computer Tomography License
  • Completion of Venipuncture Certificate
  • Three (3) years of work experience as a CT technologist
  • California Certified Radiologic Technologist License from State of California (CRT)
  • Current BLS
  • Three (3) years of experience working with an EMR
  • Experience working with PACS and RIS system
  • Ability to accurately type a minimum of 40 WPM
  • Strong verbal and written communications, and active listening skills
  • Solid patient/guest relations skills with the ability to communicate in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize task in order to complete assignments within the time allotted to maintain standard workflow
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member who is flexible, cooperative, and willing to assist others
  • Assertive with provider and patient communication
  • Highly independent and reliable

Preferred:

  • 3 years of EPIC EMR experience
