These clinics help ensure that children are up-to-date on immunizations mandated by state or local regulations, which is often a prerequisite for school enrollment. The RN in this setting assesses immunization records, educates families about vaccines, and provides safe administration of shots. These clinics play a crucial role in preventing outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases and promoting public health within the school community.
