PRN Opportunity!
The Speech Therapist evaluates and treats residents and patients with temporary or long-term speech, hearing, swallowing and cognitive disabilities in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
You will:

  • Plans and administers medically prescribed speech therapy treatment for patients with speech, language, and swallowing problems
  • Evaluates speech and language skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors
  • Reviews referral, physician's orders, patient's condition, and medical records to determine speech therapy treatment indicated. Accepts physician orders regarding speech therapy services
  • Performs initial patient evaluation before initiating therapy. Performs and documents OASIS assessments at appropriate time points
  • Plans and prepares written treatment plans based on evaluation of patient data in conjunction with the physician, patient, and caregiver(s)
  • Plan direct or conduct rehabilitative treatment plans to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication problems of organic and non-organic etiology
  • Other duties as requested

You currently:
  • Education and/or Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of speech pathology and language disorders
  • Licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology or the Accrediting Body
