Position Summary:

Our client The Carlsberg Group, one of the world's leading brewery companies, with a rich heritage dating back to 1847. Carlsberg is behind some of the most iconic beer brands globally, including Carlsberg, Tuborg, and Kronenbourg 1664. With a strong commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation, the Group operates in over 100 markets and is driven by its purpose: Brewing for a Better Today and Tomorrow. Your role is to identify business development opportunities to drive sales within an assigned geographical territory.

What You'll Be Doing Every Day:

  • Managing a territory of Convenience & Gas outlets, with the possibility of expanding to other retailers such as grocery, The Beer Store & LCBO accounts to drive sales and execution for the Carlsberg family of brands

  • Represent Carlsberg brands in a professional manner by providing retail customers with the best service

  • Work with your Manager to set territory goals based on company objectives and develop strategies to meet and/or established target by:

  • Developing customer relations to become a trusted advisor

  • Introducing new products and promotional events into the market

  • Leveraging selling skills to solicit orders

  • Closing distribution gaps by confirming correct shelf tags are present in compliance with account listing

  • Ensuring supply availability through merchandising product and checking order / inventory status

  • Negotiating space for and building displays to maximize points of interruption as well as confirming and correcting previously agreed display implementations

  • Using sales tools provided to identify opportunities & gaps and determine action plan to drive sales, improve distribution, recognize underperforming categories, and increase overall profitability in your territory

  • Recognizing and utilizing regional sales trends in order to maximize in-store performance

  • Providing feedback and insight on retail conditions and/or issues as they are encountered

  • Other duties as required

Your Experience:

  • Ideally 1-3 years of territory sales and merchandising experience in CPG or at C&G

  • Superior communication and presentation skills

  • Amazing relationship building skills

  • Strong selling skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to influence/lead change

  • Strong personal drive, positive attitude and excellent problem-solving skills are essential

  • Aptitude for fast learning, careful strategic planning and ability to self-support with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
