This is an outside management position supporting Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Rather than a desk job, this role offers the opportunity to supervise a sales team while developing and executing sales plans aligned with our corporate objectives.
As the face of Cavalier, you and your team will be responsible for the successful sales, distribution, and placement of our diverse product portfolio across new and existing retail accounts. If you are ready to bring the joy of craft beverages to fellow enthusiasts, we invite you to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and direct sales representatives to maximize product sales and distribution. This includes overseeing recruitment, selection, training, and organizing territory assignments.
  • Performance Management: Conduct employee evaluations, provide feedback, and maintain team morale through ongoing motivation and monthly meetings.
  • Strategy & Execution: Implement company marketing strategies, prepare monthly sales objectives, and develop actionable plans for business activities.
  • Account & Relationship Management: Identify sales opportunities in key accounts and assist in managing supplier relationships.
  • Operations & Compliance: Schedule personnel for promotional events, ensure the team follows all company policies, and stay informed on industry trends to respond to new developments.

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proven sales and management experience a plus
  • Basic understanding of Cavalier Distributing products
  • Cicerone Certified Beer Server required; Certified Cicerone a plus
  • 2-4 years related work experience
  • Familiarity with the bar/restaurant industry and the liquor retail industry
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Valid unexpired driver's license with clean MVR
  • Reliable transportation
  • Highly organized, self-directed, motivated, strong project management skills
  • Excellent computer skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Encompass a plus.
  • Ability to positively represent the organization to the public and customers and promote the goodwill of the company.
