  • Work approx. 9-15 hours per pay period (every 2-weeks)
  • Hours: 4:00 - 7:00 PM (includes every other Friday/Weekend/Holiday)
  • No experience needed - we'll provide the training you need


Job Summary:

The Nutrition Assistant performs food preparation tasks as assigned, including tray production duties. The Nutrition Assistant also performs a variety of tasks, such as sweeping, scrubbing, cooler and freezer maintenance, and helps to keep the storeroom clean and orderly. Responsibilities also include transporting food carts to the dining rooms, and daily cleaning of carts, equipment, and work areas


Job Responsibilities:

As a Nutrition Assistant, you will be an essential part of our kitchen team. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Dishwashing - Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized.
  • Kitchen maintenance - Keep the kitchen area clean and organized.
  • Food preparation - Assist with daily food production and preparation.
  • Serving meals - Help serve food and assist residents with their dining needs; following food preparation, sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures.


Qualifications:

  • 16+ years of age
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle various ingredients including but not limited to pork, chicken, beef, turkey, fruits and vegetables.
  • Self-motivated, works well independently and as a team player
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate work
  • Friendly, dependable, and enjoys working with the elderly
