FACE FOUNDRIÉ – Charlotte South End

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Spa Manager / Lead Esthetician is a working leadership position responsible for supporting the Spa Manager with daily operations while independently overseeing esthetician training, service quality, and inventory management. This position serves as the day-to-day leader and technical resource for the esthetician team, leading by example through exceptional services, professionalism, accountability, and adherence to FACE FOUNDRIÉ standards. The role maintains an active client book while receiving designated time for leadership, training, and inventory responsibilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

ESTHETICIAN TRAINING + SERVICE QUALITY

 Assist with onboarding, hands-on training, and technical development

of new estheticians.

 Help coordinate ongoing training, service certifications, treatment

observations, and skill development for the esthetician team.

 Ensure consistent execution of FACE FOUNDRIÉ treatment protocols,

service timing, consultations, sanitation, and client experience

standards.

 Identify technical skill gaps and provide coaching, retraining, and

continuing education.

 Assist with training for new services, products, enhancements,

equipment, and treatment protocols.

 Maintain training records and communicate team progress or concerns

to the Spa Manager.

 Serve as a technical resource for esthetician service and product

questions.

INVENTORY + TREATMENT FLOOR

 Manage professional back-bar, retail, treatment, and operational

inventory.

 Maintain appropriate inventory levels and established pars; conduct

routine inventory counts.

 Place routine supply orders within approved budgets and

receive/check orders for accuracy.

 Monitor product usage, organization, expiration dates, and inventory

variances.

 Ensure treatment rooms and back-bar areas are clean, organized,

properly stocked, and client-ready.

 Ensure equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and stored and

communicate repair/replacement needs.

 Proactively manage inventory to prevent shortages of products or

supplies required for scheduled services.

SPA MANAGER SUPPORT

 Serve as Manager on Duty when the Spa Manager is unavailable or as

scheduled.

 Support daily spa operations, including appointment flow, coverage

needs, opening/closing procedures, cleanliness, and guest experience.

 Provide real-time coaching to estheticians regarding rebooking,

retention, memberships, enhancements, retail, productivity, service

quality, and professionalism.

 Participate in esthetician interviews, practical auditions, onboarding,

scorecard meetings, and performance reviews as requested.

 Identify recurring performance concerns and communicate them to

the Spa Manager.

 Assist with routine client service recovery and escalate significant client

or employee concerns.

 Support spa promotions, events, marketing initiatives, and team

meetings as needed.

The Spa Manager retains primary responsibility for overall spa

performance, staffing, scheduling, financial results, formal performance

management, hiring, compensation, corrective action, and termination

decisions.

WORKING ESTHETICIAN EXPECTATIONS

As a working leader, the Assistant Spa Manager / Lead Esthetician will

maintain an active client book and is expected to:


 Perform FACE FOUNDRIÉ services at a high technical level and model

the standards expected of the esthetician team.

 Maintain strong client satisfaction, retention, rebooking, productivity,

and service timing.

 Confidently recommend appropriate memberships, enhancements,

and home-care products.

 Maintain expert knowledge of FACE FOUNDRIÉ services, products,

protocols, and contraindications.

 Demonstrate exceptional professionalism, reliability, teamwork, and

client service.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Current North Carolina Esthetician License in good standing.

 3+ years of esthetics experience preferred.

 Previous leadership, training, mentoring, or Lead Esthetician

experience preferred.

 Strong technical knowledge of facial treatments, skincare, sanitation,

and service protocols.

 Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and provide constructive

feedback.

 Strong organizational, inventory-management, communication, and

client-service skills.

 Ability to balance client services with leadership and administrative

responsibilities.

 Proactive, dependable, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.

 Availability to work weekends and some evenings and weekends.
