As a Barista - We Proudly Serve Starbucks®, you deliver consistently high-quality Starbucks beverages while creating a welcoming, Guest-focused experience. This role blends beverage craftsmanship, speed and accuracy, and strong operational discipline-helping the coffee venue run smoothly while upholding both Grand Casino service standards and We Proudly Serve Starbucks® brand requirements.
What You'll Do
Guest Experience + Service Excellence
  • Greet Guests warmly, professionally, and with genuine hospitality.
  • Take beverage and food orders accurately and efficiently; clarify preferences and answer menu questions with confidence.
  • Prepare Starbucks coffee, tea, espresso beverages, and specialty drinks according to We Proudly Serve Starbucks® standards.
  • Deliver fast, accurate, and friendly service in a high-volume environment.
  • Receive payments and follow all cash-handling and internal control procedures.
  • Address Guest questions and concerns appropriately, escalating issues when needed to ensure Guest satisfaction.

Product Quality + Operational Execution
  • Follow all Starbucks recipes, beverage specifications, and portion controls.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the coffee bar, equipment, counters, and Guest areas.
  • Clean and maintain espresso machines, brewers, and other equipment; report malfunctions promptly.
  • Support inventory control, restocking, rotation, and product dating.
  • Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and state health regulations.
  • Assist with preparation, heating, and finishing of approved food items according to standards.

Team Collaboration + Culture
  • Work cooperatively with Supervisors and fellow Food & Beverage team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and maintain clear, professional communication throughout the shift.
  • Promote a workplace culture grounded in respect, teamwork, accountability, and mutual support.
  • Provide assistance to other Food & Beverage outlets as operational needs require.

What You Bring
  • One year of prior barista or coffee shop experience preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
  • Strong Guest service, communication, and basic math skills.
  • Ability to learn and apply standardized operating procedures related to beverage preparation and service.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when responding to Guest needs or operational situations.
  • Must be able to secure and maintain a license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA)
  • Compliance with all Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGRs).
  • Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
