Job Description
Share your passion for culture with our guests and be their trusted guide as they visit the island we call home. As a Beach Pavilion Attendant, you will provide beach services to our Guests and help create memorable experiences.
Hourly Rate: $27.62
What you will be doing:
  • Assist guests with proper towel registration, rental or information
  • Assist guests with sign-up for Beach umbrella and informing of "No Hold" state/county policy for Beach umbrellas/areas
  • Assist guests with signing out and return of complementary snorkel sets and rental of boogie boards
  • Assist guests with retail recommendations and purchases
  • Assist guests with WSSP recommendations and purchase of activities
  • Informs guests about safety flags, ocean conditions and safety precautions
  • Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of the Beach Pavilion and surrounding grass area exceeds expectations
  • Assists guests in finding a location on the beach, setting up their area as requested
  • Enforces all beach safety rules seeking assistance from Supervisor or Security if required

Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player
  • 1 year experience in customer service
  • Previous experience in luxury hotel environment desirable involving multi-tasking, attention to detail, and customer service.

Licenses or Certificates: (*required prior to start date)
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance required*
  • CPR and First Aid Certification required*
  • Water Safety Certification is an asset

Your working environment:
  • Must be able to withstand very warm and sunny conditions
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull 100 lbs.
  • Constant standing, walking and reaching
  • Occasional lifting/carrying, pushing and pulling
  • Occasional crouching, bending, stooping, and kneeling
  • Requires grasping, writing, repetitive motions, listening, hearing and visual acuity
