Job description

Licensed Mental Health Clinician (PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, BCBA)Contract Behavioral Consultant (PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, or BCBA)

Location: San Diego County
Schedule: Part-Time | Flexible (Mondayโ€“Friday, set your own hours)
Compensation: $60โ€“$67/hour (based on experience + bilingual differential)

Join Toward Maximum Independence (TMI), a mission-driven nonprofit empowering children and adults with developmental disabilities since 1981. As a Behavioral Consultant, youโ€™ll play a vital role in supporting individuals and families through meaningful, person-centered behavioral servicesโ€”all while enjoying the flexibility to design a schedule that works for you.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team to support client success
  • Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA) and develop Behaviour Intervention Plans (BIP)
  • Provide handsโ€‘on training and guidance to individuals, families, caregivers, and staff
  • Consult with schools, agencies, and funding sources to ensure effective service delivery
  • Support crisis intervention and behaviour management within home and community settings
  • Complete required documentation and monthly service reports
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • Licensed clinician (LCSW, LMFT, PsyD/PhD) or Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and coโ€‘occurring diagnoses
  • Strong background in behavioural assessment, intervention, and crisis support
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Travel within San Diego County (up to 1 hour) for inโ€‘home consultations
  • Participation in at least one monthly clinical meeting
  • Independent contractor position (no benefits; mileage not reimbursed)
