Job Details:
Purpose:
McCombs School of Business is looking for a rising senior BBA student employee to provide support for BBA Career Management as a Grader for the BA 101 classes.
The BBA Career Management team is dedicated to guiding you through all phases of career development. We offer individual advising, a BA 101 Career Planning Strategies course, specialized programming, and events/workshops.
The BA Grader will assist with the management and grading for one section of the BA 101 class.
Course Grader responsibilities:
  • Manage grading, track attendance, and communicate student concerns to instructor.
  • Demonstrate examples of professional behavior in the job search process during class including answering interview questions, giving their "30 second introduction," etc.
  • Act as a resource for BA 101 students during class and during Grader office hours and answer general career questions.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be a degree-seeking McCombs BBA candidate, in good academic standing (maintain at least a 3.0 GPA) and making satisfactory progress toward the BBA degree.
  • Must be a senior with 90 hours or more, graduating May or August 2027.
  • Must have taken and passed BA 101T, BA 101H, or BA 101S previously.
  • Must remain registered as full-time student for at least 12 credit hours.

  • Course graders can hold other on-campus jobs as long as the combination does that exceed 20 hours a week.
  • Must be available to Grader and attend one section of BA 101 during the Fall 2026 semesters, with the option of returning for a section in Spring 2027. Course Graders are assigned to one section of BA 101. They will be expected to attend that section of class each week. Fall sections are below:

Monday - 4:00 - 5:30 pm - BA101H
Tuesday - 12:30 - 2:00 pm - BA101T
Thursday - 2:00 - 3:30 pm - BA101T
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Detail oriented, organized, and can successfully manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills and enjoy working independently on projects that require a high attention to detail.
  • Comfort with various platforms/software and/or can pick up them up quickly (Excel, Qualtrics, Canvas, etc.).

Hourly Rate:
  • $15

Working Conditions:
  • Work performed in standard office conditions.
  • Repetitive use of keyboard at a workstation.

Schedule Work Shift:
  • No more than 15 hours per week
  • Position ends on May 2027
