Job description

Bayonet Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning, a division of IES is looking for a successful and driven professional to take on the role of HVAC Service Area Manager.
The Area Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of the service area to ensure Bayonet goals and objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and increase retention levels for HVAC Service Technicians.
  • Manage five or more technicians, ensuring their efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Review technician performance and daily calls for accuracy.
  • Guide service technicians and elevate their level of customer service.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving complex residential HVAC system issues.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and service-related issues promptly.
  • Assist in managing inventory to ensure ready availability of parts and equipment.
  • Uphold all safety standards.
  • Adhere to all Departmental policy and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as an HVAC Service Manager or in a similar leadership role for two years or more.
  • Thorough knowledge of residential HVAC systems.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of HVAC industry safety standards and regulations.
  • Relevant HVAC certifications (e.g., EPA certification).
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background and pre employment drug test.
