Job description

Position Overview
BayCare Medical Group, the largest and most respected physician-led medical group in the Tampa Bay area, is seeking a dynamic Gastroenterologist to enhance and expand GI services at BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel, an 86-bed hospital located in the growing community of Wesley Chapel, Florida.
Some highlights of this exciting opportunity include:
  • This is a newly created position designed to meet the growing needs of the Wesley Chapel community and to provide referral support for the expanding network of primary care physicians in the area.
  • The hospital includes two endoscopy suites with ample scheduling available, in addition to a full complement of scopes, and experienced endoscopy staff.
  • Training in ERCP is strongly preferred.
  • ER call responsibilities will be 1:4, shared with community Gastroenterologists. The ER at BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel is on schedule for 21,000 visits annually.
  • One single BayCare Hospitalist group onsite.
  • The office is attached to the hospital, in a multi-specialty medical office suite.
