Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy and infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for coordinating project activities, managing contractors and vendors, monitoring project performance, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing construction projects in the renewable energy, utility, infrastructure, or industrial sectors and will be comfortable collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders, including engineering teams, contractors, regulatory agencies, and community representatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support the execution of renewable energy and construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Monitor contractor and vendor productivity, schedule adherence, work quality, and safety performance.
  • Participate in field inspections, site walkdowns, and project reviews to validate work execution and constructability.
  • Ensure completed work meets design specifications, project requirements, and quality standards.
  • Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Review contractor invoices and payment applications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate activities among engineering, construction, procurement, safety, environmental, and operations teams.
  • Identify, track, and resolve project risks, issues, and schedule impacts.
  • Support scope management, contract administration, and change management activities.
  • Develop and analyze project performance metrics, financial data, and operational reports.
  • Interface with landowners, permitting agencies, local governments, regulatory organizations, and community stakeholders.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide regular project status updates to leadership and project stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Land Surveying, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience managing construction, infrastructure, utility, industrial, or renewable energy projects.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and vendors throughout project execution.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and project controls.
  • Experience evaluating project performance, productivity, quality, and safety metrics.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar project management software.
  • Ability to analyze project data and provide recommendations to support project objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience supporting solar, wind, transmission, substation, battery storage, or other renewable energy projects.
  • Knowledge of construction management processes, field operations, and contractor oversight.
  • Experience working with permitting agencies, local municipalities, and regulatory organizations.
