Job description

Senior BESS Superintendent (EPC) — Boots on the Ground for Grid-Scale Storage

McCarran, NV (travel/relocation to project sites — IL, MI, TX & future locations) | Full-Time | $135,000 – $175,000

The Opportunity

Grid-scale battery projects live or die in the field — and the superintendent is where it all comes together. Our client, a rapidly scaling clean energy innovator, is hiring a Senior BESS Superintendent to lead field deployment of battery energy storage systems, associated infrastructure, and solar across a growing multi-state pipeline. You'll be onsite daily, running in-house installers, subs, and vendors, setting the standard for quality and safety while keeping production humming.

Why You'll Love It

  • The front line of the storage boom: Hands-on leadership of BESS installations coast to coast
  • Full field authority: Site work, MV/LV electrical, and BESS install — your site, your standards
  • Team-first leadership: This role prioritizes proactive management and crew performance, not desk work
  • Project variety: IL, MI, TX, and new markets ahead

What You'll Do

  • Supervise project work and coordinate between engineering, estimating, subcontractors, and field crews for compliance with drawings, specs, budget, and schedule
  • Plan work methods, materials, equipment, and production schedules; adjust plans to mitigate risks before they bite
  • Interpret project specifications for job setup, execution, inspections, and closeout per company and AHJ requirements
  • Manage site work, site access, MV-to-LV electrical work, and BESS installation
  • Coordinate internal teams, vendors, utilities, and regulatory agencies to keep everything arriving on schedule
  • Enforce strict safety, process control, and documentation standards across electrical systems, transformers, generators, and site operations
  • Lead alignment meetings, document activities, and develop your workforce

What You'll Bring

  • 12+ years of construction supervision, preferably General or Electrical Contractor — BESS and commercial solar experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree a plus
  • STS certification and OSHA 30 preferred; valid driver's license
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • 3D model/Navisworks/clash review experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of site equipment operation and maintenance
  • Sharp plan-reading and problem-solving instincts
  • Willingness to travel or relocate to project sites for project duration (IL, MI, TX, and future locations)

Lead the crews building the grid's battery fleet. Apply now.
