Job Summary:
MDAEdge is seeking an experienced MES Functional Consultant with expertise in Client Proficy MES to support the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of Manufacturing Execution Systems applications. The ideal candidate will drive technical solutions and collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration with other enterprise systems.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of Client Proficy MES applications, including OPC interfaces, SQL databases, and scripting.
• Manage day-to-day development and implementation of the Client Proficy Manufacturing Suite.
• Assist in issue resolution related to development, rollout, and enhancements.
• Ensure effective communication with cross-functional teams, customers, and third-party vendors.
• Oversee MES deployment across the full SDLC, including planning, architecture, configuration, development, testing, implementation, integration, multi-site rollout, and ongoing support.
• Work with Proficy Plant Applications, Historian, IGS, Kepware, SQL Server, and SSRS.
• Provide technical guidance on PLC, SCADA Systems, and Client Cimplicity Tracker.
• Maintain a strong understanding of Battery Manufacturing processes, MESA, ISA95, and discrete manufacturing IT systems.
• Contribute to Inventory, Quality, Order Management, and Plant Performance improvements.
• Ensure integration of MES with business and automobile-specific KPIs.
• Lead global MES rollouts, working across multi-cultural and cross-functional teams.
• Work hands-on 50–60% of the time, providing leadership and technical expertise.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 7+ years of MES Functional Consulting experience
• Expertise in Client Proficy MES, OPC interfaces, SQL databases, and scripting
• Proven experience in MES deployment across entire SDLC
• Ability to configure, deploy, and support Client Proficy MES for Automobile Industries
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases and historians
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
• Familiarity with Apriso and other MES systems
