Job Summary

Microvast is seeking a system engineer to join our team! As a system Engineer, you will be working as a central communication interface for technical aspects between external (customers) and internal (different departments), responsible for supporting the activities and projects of MV products.

The position is 5 days in office, located at our headquarters in Houston, TX.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Technical support of all aspects of battery system project as well as technical management
  • Provide technical layouts and proposals to customer inquiries
  • Coordination of the system interfaces between the individual departments as well as coordination of the same with the customer
  • Preparation of technical documentation
  • Coordinate with various teams in different locations to improve efficiency of all projects and activities 
  • Support methodical root cause analysis and resolve non-compliance issues in part performance 
  • Handle engineering tools 
  • Provide technical support to the different teams within the organization
  • Support for the commissioning of products internally or at the customer's(on-site or remotely)
  • Support and managing prototypes
  • Other duties may be assigned

 Qualifications & Skills

 Required

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical or other relevant engineering field (f/m/d) or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in the automotive or lithium ion battery industry
  • Knowledge of requirements management and development process (IATF16949, APQP or V model, etc.)
  • Technical expertise in the field of lithium-ion battery systems and / or electric vehicle drives
  • Knowledge of the methods of advance quality planning / quality assurance in development
  • Experience in use of MS Office, engineering analysis Tools (e.g. CANalyzer, Matlab) in a windows-environment
  • Experience in public transportation (e.g. school bus) systems preferred.
  • Very good comprehension and analytical thinking skills
  • Careful and conscientious, structured and organized way of working
  • Team and communication skills
