ABOUT ASAHI BEER USA / OCTOPI BREWING
Founded in 2014 as a Wisconsin contract brewery, Octopi Brewing has spent over a decade brewing and packaging beer, seltzers, RTDs, and sodas for clients nationwide. In 2024, Asahi - brewers of Asahi Super Dry - acquired Octopi, making us the U.S. production home of Super Dry. Today, our 250+ person team of beverage industry pros keeps that same local, quality-first spirit alive at a state-of-the-art facility. As Batching Team Shift Supervisor, you'll lead day-to-day batching operations and help your team grow through the Brewer Career Matrix, reporting directly to the Batching Manager.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for an experienced batching leader to run day-to-day operations on 1st shift, keep documentation airtight, and help develop the next generation of brewers on our team.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE GREAT

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Provide daily oversight and direction for the batching team, including daily priorities
• Keep documentation complete, accurate, and on time - DAW/dissolved oxygen logs, CIP/SIP logs, bulk tank logs, batching sheets, and digital recordkeeping
• Guide corrective actions for out-of-spec product, including ABV, pH, gravity/density corrections and batch size adjustments
• Train, coach, and develop batching operators, and step in for the Cellar Manager at meetings as needed
• Keep SOPs current and followed, and drive organization, cleanliness, and efficiency across the batching area
WHAT YOU BRING
Must-haves:
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting 55 lbs / moving 165 lbs as needed
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management
• Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing or manufacturing setting
• Flexibility to work various shifts and prioritize shifting tasks
Nice-to-haves:
• 2-3 years of experience in a brewing environment
• Degree in Brewing Science/Technology
