Job description

Title:        Extraction Technician 

Reports to:     Extractor/Production Manager 

Department:    Production 

Required Permits/Licensing/Registration: Marijuana Establishment Agent Card 

FLSA Status:     Non-Exempt 

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A 

Overview: 

Following policies set forth by the Company, support the overall operation of the production department through scheduling and completion of duties and tasks. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Accountable for ensuring the Production Department meet the demand, quantity, and quality of output in-line with Company objectives. 
  • Accountable for completion of all work assigned to them during their scheduled shifts, including but not limited to: 
  • Inventory tracking of all finished products produced by department (internal/third-party) 
  • Monitor and maintain all production specific equipment as required by protocols and manufacturer specifications 
  • Foster a culture of open dialogue with the management team and other co-workers 
  • Communicate all production related questions, concerns, or issues 
  • Provide any necessary support to management team to ensure the success of all production operations, as assigned, trained, and/or requested.  
  • Accountable for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies set forth by the Company when performing duties.  
  • Implement training procedures and seek continued education to satisfy all regulations and requirements of Company, and State regulatory bodies. 
  • Facilitate the manufacturing of marijuana concentrates and infused products by performing all post-processing procedures and protocol which include but are not limited to: 
  • Vacuum Oven Operation/Sanitization 
  • Whipping of Budder/Batter Concentrates 
  • Raw Material Batching 
  • Extraction Column Preparation/Sanitization 
  • Extraction Machine Sanitization    
  • Support and assist in the evaluation of Research & Development experiments performed by production department 
  • Continue the ongoing development of department protocol, procedures, and methodology 
  • Ensure all standards for processing procedures and production protocols are followed including but not limited to: 
  • Compliance with Department regulations. 
  • Quality control methods are adhered to through all processes 
  • Production standards are documented and followed 
  • Experiments/manufacturing methods are recorded for future reference 
  • Inventory oversight and management including state mandated Inventory Control System 
  • Utilize industry experience to ascertain all necessary equipment required for the safe and efficient manufacturing of cannabis concentrates and infused products  
  • Flexible work schedule required; to include covering a vacant shift and/or facility issues in emergency situations as needed. 
  • Foster a thirst for knowledge, advancement, and diversification of skills within department.  
  • Support inventory tracking compliance both internally, and within the state Inventory Control software.

  • Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail. 
  • Flexible work schedule required; to include covering a vacant shift and/or facility issues in emergency situations as needed. 
  • Represent the company in a professional manner when communicating or interacting with all local community, state, or federal officials. 
  • Observe and maintain all safety procedures and protocols
