Concrete Quality Assurance Technician

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to work in our Quality Control Department. In this role, the employee’s responsibility will be to assist the operations and sales teams by providing our customers with a quality product that is within the project specifications. The employee will be tasked with performing physical testing of concrete mixtures, aggregates, at our Concrete plants and customers job sites. The qualified candidate will also assist the operations and sales teams by adjusting mixtures based on the physical tests of the concrete. This is a hands on mostly outdoor position that will require frequent lifting and extend time on your feet.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Testing plastic properties of freshly batched concrete
  • Monitoring batching of concrete
  • Monitoring concrete placement on job sites
  • Reporting on duties
  • Other duties, as assigned by leadership.

Position Requirements:

  • GDOT Batcher and Technician certifications
  • ACI Concrete Field Tech Grade 1
  • Able to work long and off hours schedule
  • Able to lift 100 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks regularly
  • Able to communicate, verbal and written
  • Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol pre-placement exams and annual random checks
  • Basic computer skills
