Job description

Job Summary
he Academy of Our Lady of Peace is currently accepting applications for a Varsity Basketball Head Coach for the upcoming season. This is a seasonal interscholastic coaching position within a competitive CIF girls basketball program.
We are seeking a dynamic leader who will serve as a positive role model and represent OLP with integrity, energy, and a strong commitment to developing student-athletes. The ideal candidate will bring experience, passion, and a vision for building and sustaining a competitive program while fostering growth both on and off the court.
This role requires a coach who values not only competitive success, but also emphasizes character development, teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship, aligning with the mission and values of OLP.
Essential qualities include:
Strong basketball coaching knowledge and experience
Effective communication and leadership skills
Commitment to teamwork and student-athlete development
Ability to mentor and positively influence female student-athletes
Additional Expectations:
Plan, organize, and lead all aspects of the varsity basketball program
Develop and implement practice plans, game strategies, and skill development
Build relationships with student-athletes, families, and school community
Oversee program culture, discipline, and expectations
Collaborate with athletic administration on scheduling, communication, and program needs
Support the development of sub-varsity levels to ensure program continuity
Ensure adherence to CIF, school, and athletic department policies and procedures
