Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Success in this position is dependent on not only being creative but, having strong communication skills, excellent follow-through, being detail-oriented, and most importantly having the desire of joining a team that is fast-moving, adaptive to change, comfortable with implementing processes, and likes to get things done.
  • We are seeking team members that will bring their UNIQUE skill set. That is highly versatile, capable of switching gears, and producing high quality custom design in a short amount of time.

  • Each designer is required to lead a project from beginning to end through all phases of design into final install of our custom items.

    • You will be responsible for design/documentation production and project management duties. Included but not limited to:
    • Project/document set up.
    • Concept packages and renderings.
    • 3D Modeling, detailing, construction documents.
    • Cost estimates and scheduling.
    • Coordination with client, AOR, GC, MEP etc.
  • Organizing presentations to both clients and consultants
  • As a lead, you will be the main conduit and producer on a project externally and internally.
  • Proactively stepping in to support your teammates.
  • Clear communication and ability to prioritize are crucial to keep the team going.
  • We all must operate with a sense of urgency while still delivery a high-quality product.
  • We are all required to wear multiple hats, not just for the design team but for the company as whole and contribute to our overall culture.
  • Ability to negotiate with contractors and subcontractors

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
  • 5+ years of experience in an architectural or interior design firm
  • Licensure not required but preferred depending on position and project
  • Proficiency in Revit and Sketchup required
  • Proficiency in CAD, Adobe Suite, Enscape, and Revu preferred
  • Experience with custom details, material specification, and fabrication preferred
  • Effective and clear communications, both verbal and written
  • Seek out opportunities to go above and beyond expectations with your design
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Fast learner, self-starter, and ability to complete tasks with minimal direction
  • You are collaborative and enjoy working as part of a small team
  • Animal lovers preferred.

Additional Details

  • This is an in-person, full-time position.
  • This position will be based out of our office located in Downtown San Diego.
  • Office Hours: M - F, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Salary Range $80,000.00 - $110,000.00.
    Final offer based on demonstrated expertise in Revit/SketchUp, specification, presentation experience, and fabrication understanding.
