BayCare is seeking experienced patient care technicians to join our staffing resource office float team.Must be comfortable floating to all hospitals/units in region 1 which includes the following facilities: St. Anthony's, Morton Plant, Mease Dunedin, Mease Countryside and Morton Plant NorthBay Hospitals.Team member will be notified approximately 2 hours prior to start of shift which hospital they are working.
Summary:
Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required Certification includes Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
6 months acute care experience or 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience; or completion of Nursing Fundamentals from a Nursing Program; or EMT certification / Paramedic license for ER only.
Preferred - 1 year - Hospital in related field.
Education equivalent experience:
* Required - High School or Equivalent; Required - Technical - Patient Care Technician; or - Technical - Certified Nursing Assistant; or - Technical - Emergency Medical Technician; or - Technical - Licensed Practical Nurse.
Preferred - EMT (Emergency); Preferred - LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
