PROFESSIONAL FACULTY ROLE, REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

At Cambridge Lakes Learning Center, all faculty are learners.ย  In this role, you will,ย 

  • Design and deliver engaging, learning experiences aligned to our values, challenge every student, and inspire excellence across all content areas and grade levels.
  • Employ a range of research-based instructional strategies aligned to our instructional model that support inquiry, project-based, and experiential approaches to address the whole child and support the growth of all learners.
  • Partner with colleagues, families, and school leadership to align curriculum, communicate student progress, and contribute to a culture of shared responsibility.
  • Engage fully in Cambridge Lakes' Professional Excellence Framework and all professional responsibilities as outlined in the Guide to Excellence and Employee Handbook.ย 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum B.A/B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution in the appropriate education area.
  • Some faculty positions may require a graduate/terminal degree, or certificate, pending need.
  • Charter schools may employ non-certified teachers if they have a bachelor's, graduate, or terminal degree and meet other qualifications.ย 

PREFERRED:ย 

  • Current Professional Educator License (PEL);
  • Appropriate endorsements per subject matter seeking experience with experiential learning, project-based learning, inquiry approaches, or specialized pedagogies.ย 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Meet the standards outlined in the contract
  • Classroom-based with regular interaction throughout the school.
  • Attendance at meetings and events outside regular school hours.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift, move, and/or support up to 50 pounds.ย ย

  • Competitive compensation with consistent adjustments to align with the market and skills
