• Conduct thorough comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students to identify mental health challenges and inform the development of tailored treatment plans.
• Provide one-on-one therapy to students using a variety of established modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), or mindfulness techniques, adjusted to suit their unique needs.
• Set clear therapeutic goals in collaboration with students, fostering an environment of trust and openness as you monitor their progress throughout treatment.
• Utilize teletherapy platforms for virtual sessions, ensuring accessibility for students regardless of their circumstances.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with ethical and regulatory standards, reflecting our commitment to professional integrity and client confidentiality.
• Engage actively in ongoing professional development, participating in workshops and training sessions to refine your clinical skills and remain informed on emerging therapeutic methodologies.

This position focuses primarily on children and adolescents navigating various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and social-emotional issues. As a mental health counselor, you will play a critical role in helping students develop coping strategies and emotional resilience, ultimately contributing to their academic and personal success.

• Current and valid license in the state of Georgia as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• Demonstrated ability to establish a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship with clients, marked by exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to exhibit empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively handle caseloads and associated documentation.

• Experience working with school-aged children and adolescents is highly desirable, especially in a remote or teletherapy setting.
• Familiarity with school systems and mental health resources available for children and families.
• Evidence of proficiency in various therapeutic methods such as play therapy, family therapy, or solution-focused therapy would be advantageous.
