Baseball Player Development Jobs in Ontario (NOW HIRING)

Reporting to theSr. Manager, Youth Baseball Development this position is accountable for assisting in the growth of the Blue Jays Baseball Academy and its portfolio. This role will play an important role in the execution of the clinic program in Ontario and across Canada, the Canadian Futures Showcase, and the role that the Blue Jays and Jays Care Foundation play in coaching

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the on-site logistics lead for Blue Jays Baseball Academy clinics, tournaments, special events, and Canadian Futures Showcase tryouts

• Support the planning and execution of Baseball Academy programming, including schedule creation, instructor deployment, facility coordination, host communication, participant registration, and event activation

• Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and ongoing support of more than 100 instructors and event staff across Canada

• Coordinate all participant-facing communications, ensuring a seamless player and parent experience from registration through event completion

• Manage customer service inquiries related to Academy programming, registrations, event logistics, and participant support

• Support the planning and execution of the Canadian Futures Showcase, including event logistics, travel coordination, accommodations, communication plans, volunteer management, and on-site operations

• Assist with the development and maintenance of registration systems, participant databases, program reporting, and event evaluation processes

• Support content creation and educational resource development for Baseball Academy initiatives, including Rally Cap, coach education programs, and MLB grassroots programs.

• Collaborate with Jays Care Foundation and internal departments to share best practices, align program delivery standards, and enhance participant experiences

• Maintain equipment inventories and oversee the preparation, distribution, and tracking of event equipment, uniforms, and promotional materials

• Coordinate and lead internal marketing communications and announcements, ensuring effective collaboration between the Baseball Academy and Marketing team

• Manage Baseball Academy social media channels, including content planning, scheduling, community engagement, and performance tracking

• Assist with the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns to support program recruitment, registration targets, and brand awareness

• Support the collection and analysis of program metrics, participant feedback, and key performance indicators to inform future programming decisions

• Assist with invoice processing, budget tracking, and administrative reporting related to Academy programming and events

• Build and maintain positive relationships with minor baseball associations, facility partners, coaches, volunteers, and key stakeholders across Canada
• If qualified, contribute to player evaluation discussions and talent identification initiatives related to the Canadian Futures Showcase

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous baseball or softball experience as a player, coach, instructor, or administrator

• Passion for youth sport development and creating positive experiences for participants and families

• Education in Sport Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, Recreation, or a related field

• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.

• Experience coordinating events, programs, or community initiatives is considered an asset.

• Knowledge of the Toronto Blue Jays, Blue Jays Baseball Academy, Jays Care Foundation, and the Canadian amateur baseball landscape

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with participants, parents, instructors, volunteers, staff, and external partners

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with registration platforms, CRM systems, and social media management tools is considered an asset

• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality programming

• Availability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel regularly throughout Canada

• Valid G Class driver's license

• Willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR certification

• A police background check and vulnerable sector check will be a requirement upon hire.

• Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs

• Demonstrated ability to throw batting practice and hit fungos
  

Salary:The anticipated base compensation range for this role is $65,000 - $70,000. Actual base pay offered within this range may differ based on a range of factors, including individual experience, education, skills, and organizational needs.
