The Position
Boston Red Sox Baseball Camps deliver summer baseball experiences that kids can't get at any other summer camp. Designed for ages 5-13, At Red Sox Camps, young fans learn the game, celebrate Red Sox traditions, and feel the magic of being part of the Boston Red Sox family. Each day blends baseball joy, Big League moments, and unforgettable memories - all designed with intention. Campers build confidence, form friendships, and get exclusive access to the energy, history, and culture of the Red Sox.
As a Red Sox Camps Coach, you bring energy, enthusiasm, and care to every camp day. You lead small groups of campers through fun, active, age-appropriate baseball experiences that build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game.
Through encouragement, movement, and positive leadership, you help create an environment where campers feel supported, included, and excited to learn and play, while bringing a championship-driven spirit inspired by World Series moments and proudly representing the Red Sox on and off the field.
Role Information
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:45 am-3:30 pm
  • Time Commitment: Available for pre-camp training and all weeks of programming
  • Compensation: $16.25 / hour

  • We are a phone-free and nut-free working environment.
  • Extended Employment Opportunities: Hitting and Fielding small-group lessons Monday - Friday from 3:15 - 4:00 pm (paid at $43.75 per lesson).

What You'll Do
  • Lead a group of 10-12 campers of a similar age through daily baseball games, drills, activities, and active play, bringing energy, creativity, and intention to every moment
  • Deliver the provided curriculum and activity plans to ensure a consistent, high-quality camp experience, while finding opportunities to elevate the experience through traditions, themed moments, and Big League-inspired touchpoints
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where campers feel safe, encouraged, and excited to participate, ensuring each camper feels like part of the team
  • Motivate campers through positive energy, clear communication, and hands-on leadership, setting a tone that is fun, focused, and authentically Red Sox
  • Build strong, authentic relationships with campers by supporting their confidence, sparking their love for the game, and fostering a sense of belonging and community throughout the camp week
  • Uphold all camp safety, supervision, and behavioral expectations throughout the day
  • Work collaboratively with fellow coaches and site leadership to support daily camp flow and create unforgettable, premium camp moments
  • Assist with transitions, group movement, arrival and dismissal, and daily camp operations, proactively stepping in where needed to keep camp running smoothly and safely
  • Represent the Boston Red Sox and Headfirst with professionalism, enthusiasm, and pride, bringing the Red Sox experience to life for campers and families

  • Enjoy working with children and bringing positive energy, patience, and care to group settings
  • Passionate about baseball or softball and excited to share it with campers in a way that builds confidence and joy
  • Comfortable leading and supervising a small group of campers throughout the day
  • Reliable, coachable, and open to learning through training, feedback, and collaboration
  • Safety-minded, adaptable, and calm in active, fast-paced environments
  • Dedicated to the camp's mission, program quality, and a supportive team environment for the full camp season
  • Able to remain upright and standing for multiple hours at a time, walk and/or run quickly around large outdoor grass and dirt-covered fields, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of sports equipment
  • Committed to adhering to and enforcing the camp's Cell-Phone Free policy, powering down and putting away cell phones for the duration of your shift
