Job Summary
Marysville High School is seeking a qualified, experienced Head JV Baseball Coach. The successful candidates will have demonstrated competencies in the following areas:
• Will stress the fundamentals of the game (skill & strategy), conduct practices, and supervise games and transportation.
• Knowledge and competency related to care and prevention of athletic injuries, basic first aid and emergency procedures.
• Knowledge and competency in coaching theory and techniques in the sport being coached.
• Knowledge and competency in the rules and regulations of the sport, state, section, league, and district policies.
• Knowledge of psychology of the adolescent or child.
• Knowledge of the Code of Ethical Conduct.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions, to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship.
• Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student athletes.
• Coordinate the development, promotion and recruitment for the Baseball Program.
• Develop a regular practice schedule and organize practice time to provide both individual and team development.
• Encourage sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation at all times.
• Represent the Marysville Joint Unified School District, Marysville High School and the Athletic Programs in a professional manner.
