The opportunity
Delaware North Sportservice is hiring a Concessions Intern to join our team at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio . As a Concessions Intern, you will assist the management team with training and scheduling team members. On event days, you will help the concessions team with stand operations, including inventory management and cash room duties.
Are you an undergraduate or graduate student seeking an internship in a fast-paced, inclusive environment with real-world learning opportunities? Delaware North internships are paid and can be completed for academic credit. Summer internship dates typically span 12 weeks and average 400 hours for school credit.
As a Concessions Intern, you'll work closely with our management team to support and elevate food and beverage operations throughout Major League Baseball games. You'll assist in running game day operations and have opportunities to learn and lead team members during events. You'll collaborate directly with leadership on decision-making that impacts guest experience and business performance. In addition, you'll gain exposure to the financial and operational side of hospitality, learning forecasting in game financials, event close auditing, product inventory, and how supply chain management support the success of our concessions department. You'll also may have the opportunity contribute to creative projects such as the development and launch of new food and beverage concepts across the concourse.

  • Support with team member check-in on event days
  • Perform end of event tasks, including the closing of stands and retail transaction reports

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university; Business Administration or Human Resources majors preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
