The Role

As a Senior SAP Finance Analyst, this role will support the design, configuration, implementation and ongoing optimization of finance solutions within the FI/CO module of our SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud environment, including data migration. This role will partner closely with our Finance and Accounting business team. This role will collaborate with the business on functional and technical requirements, testing and mentorship for SAP Finance processes.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze and document business requirements for finance processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Financial Close  

  • Configure and support SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud finance modules in alignment with best practices and system capabilities  

  • Perform Data Migration tasks, including field mapping, data cleansing and validation 

  • Collaborate with business users to identify process improvements and automation opportunities  

  • Support end-to-end implementation activities, including fit-to-standard workshops, testing, data migration, and go-live support  

  • Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions  

  • Assist in integration efforts with other SAP modules (e.g., Procurement, Sales) and third-party systems  

  • Develop and maintain functional documentation, training materials, and user guides  

  • Support periodic financial close processes and ensure system readiness  

  • Collaborate with and mentor Finance/Accounting business partners and fellow team members with SAP Processes 

  • Stay current with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud releases and assess impacts to existing configurations 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus 

  • 5+ years of experience working with SAP Finance modules (FI/CO), preferably at least 1+ year in SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud 

  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud Implementations a plus 

  • Understanding of VAT and Tax principles and processes within SAP a plus 

  • Strong understanding of core finance processes: 

  • General Ledger 

  • Accounts Payable 

  • Accounts Receivable 

  • Asset Accounting 

  • Projects/WBS Elements 

  • Financial Close 

  • Strong understanding of SAP Finance processes with familiarity with SAP Public Cloud processes 

  • Understanding of Bank Statement processing 

  • Understanding of IFRS or GAAP accounting standards 

  • Exposure to SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC) 

  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori Apps and user experience 

  • Comfortable with Agile/Scrum/Kanban project management methodologies. 

  • Experience in Finance and Accounting departments a plus 

  • Experience with MBC, DRC or MRM a plus 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 

Location

This role is based in our Los Angeles office.
 

Compensation

The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $132,000 - $155,000 in Los Angeles. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
