Job description

Position Summary

The Business Development & Account Manager is responsible for growing revenue through a combination of new

business prospecting and proactive management of existing customer relationships. This role owns the full sales cycle

— from identifying and qualifying new accounts in target verticals (automotive aftermarket, collision/body shops,

construction, manufacturing) to ensuring current customers are satisfied, retained, and growing their spend with

Coastal Wipers.

Strong commission structure for individuals who aggressively acquire new business.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities within target verticals (automotive aftermarket, collision/body

shops, construction, manufacturing, fleet maintenance) across Florida and the broader Southeast region.

• Build and manage a pipeline of prospective accounts, using research tools and outbound outreach (calls, email, in-

person visits) to generate new customer relationships.

• Own a portfolio of existing accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for order needs, issue resolution, and

relationship management.

• Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews with key accounts to identify upsell opportunities, address at-risk

relationships, and ensure satisfaction.

• Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and product recommendations tailored to customer needs.

• Collaborate with operations and administration to ensure accurate order entry, timely fulfillment, and resolution of any

customer-facing issues (e.g., freight, invoicing, product substitutions).

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, pipeline status, and account activity in the company's CRM/sales

tracking systems.

• Represent Coastal Wipers at trade shows, industry events, and customer site visits as needed.

• Provide regular reporting on pipeline, forecasted revenue, and account health to sales leadership.

• Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs within served verticals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development — industrial, distribution, or

manufacturing sector experience strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to manage a full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, closing, and account retention.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with comfort engaging both new prospects and long-standing

customers.

• Organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage a mixed portfolio of prospecting activity and account

management responsibilities.

• Working knowledge of CRM tools and Google Business Suite (Sheets, Gmail); familiarity with AI tools for research

and content management

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred but not

required.

Interested candidates should submit a resume and brief cover letter outlining relevant sales or account management
