Title: Service Associate - Base Operations
Type: Contract - Full-Time (30+ hours/week)
Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite)
Compensation: $29.00/hour

Position Overview
Thorndale Partners has been retained by an autonomous ride-hailing company in San Francisco, CA to find a Service Associate - Base Operations to support daily fleet operations. In this role, you'll be responsible for the daily upkeep of autonomous vehicles, ensuring they are clean, charged, fueled, and ready for testing and daily operations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Operations
  • Clean, fuel, charge, and prepare autonomous vehicles for daily operations.
  • Ensure vehicles, equipment, and work areas are clean, organized, and operationally ready.
  • Assist with vehicle readiness paperwork and documentation.
Operational Support
  • Support the movement and storage of vehicles, equipment, and spare parts inventory.
  • Execute mission preparation procedures, including launching software, verifying hardware and software configurations, capturing requested data, and escalating issues when needed.
  • Assist with software deployment and vehicle ingest procedures.
  • Provide hands-on support to Base Operations technicians, including fluid changes, part replacements, and wiring checks.
  • Support operational testing activities as needed.
  • Communication & Teamwork
  • Work closely with Base Operations, Parts, and Vehicle Operations teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate operational updates effectively.
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug screen.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in automotive, logistics, or a fast-paced operational environment is preferred.
