Job description

Department: Marketing
Reports To: Organic Growth Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000-$95,000
About the Role:
As a SEO Specialist, you will play a key role in optimizing and maintaining our IG North America websites while driving organic growth through search engine optimization (SEO) and generative search optimization (GEO). Working alongside our Web & CRO Lead and the broader growth team, you'll implement website updates, conduct keyword and performance analysis, and execute strategic initiatives that improve organic visibility across both traditional and AI-driven search. This is a great opportunity for someone to build foundational expertise in website management and organic growth as part of a collaborative, data-driven organic growth team.
What You'll Do:
  • Manage day-to-day operations for IG North America websites, including content updates and organic performance monitoring
  • Support the development and execution of a comprehensive SEO and GEO strategy to improve organic visibility, search rankings, and presence in AI-generated search results
  • Partner with the Web & CRO Lead to ensure SEO and GEO initiatives align with broader website optimization and conversion goals
  • Conduct keyword research and ensure effective, natural keyword integration across web pages and content
  • Conduct technical SEO audits covering crawlability, indexability, XML sitemap hygiene, canonical tags, and redirect management, partnering with developers to resolve issues
  • Monitor Core Web Vitals and site performance metrics, flagging issues that may impact organic search visibility and user experience
  • Support backlink profile monitoring and competitor gap analysis to identify link-building and outreach opportunities
  • Implement and maintain structured data (schema markup) and international SEO elements, such as hreflang tags, to strengthen search and AI visibility across regions
  • Audit and optimize existing content to improve organic performance, engagement, and alignment with SEO and GEO best practices
  • Help establish content guidelines for web writing, including tone, structure, length, and SEO/GEO best practices
  • Structure and organize content strategically to support crawlability, topical authority, and citation by generative search engines
  • Manage digital asset libraries, ensuring all content is SEO-optimized, ADA-compliant, and properly organized
  • Assist with website troubleshooting and coordinate with technical teams to resolve issues quickly

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, IT, data analytics, computer science, web development, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in website management, SEO, or digital marketing
  • Proficiency with content management systems (Contentstack preferred), HTML, CSS, tag management, and basic web technologies
  • Familiarity with keyword research tools, SEO performance metrics, and an interest in GEO/AI search trends
  • Exposure to technical SEO concepts (crawling, indexing, site architecture) and tools like Google Search Console a plus
  • Understanding of responsive design principles and good user experience
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Google Analytics and other web analytics platforms
  • Ability to translate SEO and GEO insights into actionable content and website recommendations
  • Experience with website accessibility standards and regulatory compliance a plus
  • Detail-oriented with excellent project management and communication skills
  • Self-motivated learner who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Ability to listen, understand, assess, and assist with any customer issues, asking questions as needed and giving detailed directions in response
  • Familiarity with Figma and Jira helpful

This is where brand stops being decoration and becomes the thing that compounds.
Company Perks + Benefits:
  • Performance Bonuses

  • 401k Plan
  • 20 Paid Vacation Days (plus an additional paid vacation day the month of your birthday!)
