Position: Building Automation System (BAS) Installer Helper

Compensation: $18.00/HR- $20.00/HR

Position Summary

Southwest Electrical Contracting Services is seeking a motivated Building Automation System (BAS) Installer Helper to support our installation team with commercial and industrial automation projects. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in electrical or building automation systems.

The BAS Installer Helper will assist with installing conduit, pulling wire, mounting devices, and supporting lead installers to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation of BAS controls, panels, and devices
  • Help run conduit, pull wire, and organize materials on job sites
  • Support lead installers and technicians with daily tasks
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas
  • Follow safety policies and OSHA guidelines at all times
  • Load/unload tools, equipment, and materials
  • Learn BAS systems, electrical practices, and installation techniques
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Qualifications

  • Meets SWECS minimum eligibility requirements for a new hire
  • Possesses a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Has access to reliable transportation
  • Maintains an excellent record of attendance
  • Maintains a minimum required tool list
  • Able to work in construction environments (indoors/outdoors, ladders, lifts, etc.)
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred
  • Prior electrical or construction experience is a plus but not required
