Position: Industrial Automation Account Executive

Location: Atlanta, GA

Are you a dynamic sales professional with a passion for industrial automation? We are seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Account Executive to join our team. This role is vital in driving sales growth within Southern Georgia and Northern Alabama by identifying new customers and nurturing existing relationships.

As an Account Executive, you will be at the forefront of our sales strategy, serving as a key liaison between your territory and our technical service teams. Your efforts will directly contribute to expanding our market presence and promoting our range of superior products and services to diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target potential customers based on historical performance and sales quotas.
  • Actively seek out new business opportunities through cold calling, referrals, trade publications, and industry trade shows.
  • Schedule appointments with potential clients within your ideal industry segments.
  • Recognize and pursue upselling opportunities within your existing customer base.
  • Document and communicate cost savings from proposed solutions, including equipment upgrades and process efficiency improvements.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers and manufacturers to foster account growth.
  • Collaborate with accounting and inside sales teams on contract pricing and terms.
  • Advocate for customers to ensure favorable terms and conditions in agreements.
  • Recommend product solutions and identify areas for enhancements and additional offerings.
  • Participate in internal product training sessions to stay current and effectively address customer inquiries.
  • Conduct online research and engage in networking through trade organizations to expand your reach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a related role within the industrial automation sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adept at learning new software systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the industrial automation market, including product offerings and competitor landscape.
  • Background in manufacturing, general maintenance, or instrumentation is highly advantageous.
  • Well-organized, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This position is based within Southern Georgia or Northern Alabama and offers a competitive compensation structure, including a base salary plus commission.

Pay Range: $95,000 - $110,000 per year
