Role Summary

Business analysts (BAs) are responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business to identify, build, and support technology solutions.

As a BA, you'll lead efforts around technology system enhancements and application process improvements for our external clients. You'll elicit business requirements and evaluate technical solutions by discussing needs with the business, end users, leadership, and project teams. You'll define, contribute to and coordinate the development and approval of user acceptance test plans, approaches and scripts. You'll work on technology projects, implementations, and provide continuous support, collaborating with vendors, business areas and IT.

As a BA you will...

  • Lead reviews of business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement.
  • Work closely and develop relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all business requirements are understood, documented and met.
  • Collaborate with IT Developers to translate user requirements into solutions. Use knowledge of the application development process to participate in any stage of the development process.
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
  • Lead and participate in system testing and ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements prior to and during user acceptance testing.
  • Assist with the analysis of bug fixes/issues, with ability to lead groups of IT and business staff for troubleshooting, problem resolution and brainstorming for available solutions and prioritization.
  • Develop and maintain application documentation including business and system requirements, use cases, test script, process mappings.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings

General Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience with SDLC, testing, and validating solutions.
  • Demonstrate fluency in business processes and process differentiation.
  • General understanding of networks, databases, and other technology
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management
  • Good organizational and prioritization; able to multi-task, proficient ability to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple projects and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational decisions.
