Raytheon Company’s Digital Technology (DT) organization is seeking highly skilled Data Engineer SAP with deep experience in SAP data platforms and modern cloud-based data architecture. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise data solutions that enable advanced analytics, reporting, and digital transformation across the business. You will support mission-critical operations by building robust, secure, and compliant data pipelines and analytical models across SAP and cloud ecosystems.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines integrating SAP and non‑SAP systems across the enterprise.
  • Build and enhance analytical data models within SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Leverage SAP Business Data Cloud to orchestrate and manage cloud-based SAP data integrations.
  • Architect and manage analytical data warehouse solutions focused on scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
  • Develop and maintain data workflows in Snowflake using SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT tools such as Matillion.
  • Ensure all data solutions comply with Raytheon’s data security, regulatory, and governance requirements, particularly in government cloud environments.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate requirements into secure technical designs.
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and lead continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide high-quality, validated datasets and technical support for BI, analytics, and reporting teams.
  • Work within fast-paced, cross-functional teams.

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • Strong experience with SAP analytical tools such as SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Experience with Snowflake, including ingestion, transformation, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools, such as Matillion.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with complex analytical queries.
  • Solid Python experience for data engineering, automation, and pipeline development.

Remote: Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
