Bartender

We are looking for a customer-focused Bartender to join our team! You will be preparing drinks for customers while creating a friendly and hospitable atmosphere. You are passionate about hospitality and specialize in beverage service and solo dining. Organized, calm, and friendly, you make a point to go above and beyond to make sure customers have exceptional experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet all customers with a friendly smile; provide friendly, efficient, and personal service to each customer.
  • Take food and drink orders; understand the food and beverage menu to articulate the best possible description and make appropriate recommendations to your guests.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of liquor, wine and beer, including specialty drinks.
  • Accurately and efficiently enter orders into POS system.
  • Clear and reset counters and tables at the conclusion of each guest visit.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
  • Promote and support the restaurant's overall philosophy.
  • Communicate with floor managers.
  • Monitor food delivery and beverage service.
  • Keep abreast of food menu and beverage changes during the service.
  • Anticipate what the guests want and do not want.
  • Read the guests and determine the correct approach.
  • Take the extra step to turn good service into great service and make it an experience each guest will remember.
  • Act as the ultimate host on the floor, always looking for ways to exceed the guests' expectations.
  • Handle banking for the station, always handling monies out of the guests' view.
  • Controlling costs by:
  1. Pouring drinks at proper levels
  2. Ensuring all beverage items go on the guest check
  3. Limiting waste
  4. Taking accurate inventories
