Job description

Forsythia is hiring a Bartender/Captain!

Forsythia is a Roman restaurant in the heart of downtown Manhattan. The staff is comprised of young veterans in the hospitality industry, and we are looking to add someone to the fold who wants to grow with us.
We're looking for someone who can marry a few years of fine dining experience with a small business mindset, and an above average ability to find new solutions to old issues - the ideal candidate will be highly adaptable, nimble, and able to make good decisions rapidly.
An ideal candidate will have both cocktail and service experience. A love for cocktail bartending is a must. Expect both service in the dining room and nights on our six seat bar.
Forsythia operates like a restaurant in Italy; our employees lead balanced lives, our restaurant opens and closes at reasonable hours, and we offer above average vacation time, benefits, and pay.
In return, we ask all of our employees to commit to a small team who collectively want to accomplish a singular mission, and tackle any hurdle that may come their way. Our values are hard work, dedication and leading with kindness and empathy. We want to hire a captain who is like minded and committed to growth.
We are open to full or part time applicants. Weekend and holiday availably mandatory.
