Wage range: $109,000 - $150,000

Job Summary:

  • Under the direction of the CEO, the Manager of Plant Operations is responsible for the direct supervision of the Plant Operations and Grounds departments, with general oversight of Biomed, Security, Environmental Services, Laundry.
  • Provides inservice and education to staff and other hospital employees.
  • Effectively manages cost and quality of maintenance services provided to the facility, including service contracts.
  • In addition, the Manager of Plant Operations is responsible for budgets, long and short-range planning for equipment, services and construction.
  • Works effectively with OSHPD and State Fire Marshal. Responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and annual evaluation of performance improvement programs for facility support departments.
  • Attends, schedules and participates in required hospital meetings and functions.
  • Gathers, reports and presents statistics as needed to committees, Administration and outside agencies.
  • Coordinates TJC preparedness and responds to all regulatory and/or accrediting agencies within the Environment of Care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years direct supervision of Environmental Services, Maintenance and/or Biomed Departments.
  • Minimum of two years plus years of multi-department management experience.
  • Certification in healthcare safety and hazmat preferred.
